It turns out that when I am not recording podcasts, I do not upload my phone content as often as usual. I haven’t done this since the beginning of March, so enjoy a flurry of pictures from my last few months of crafting!

Yardage Totals 2018:
It turns out my yardage was a bit harder-earned in May, but I still had a pretty impressive number given that almost all of my knitting was fingering weight yarn held single this time around! I also knit maybe 1/4 as much this last month; I was more interested in reading and messing around on some of my game apps on my phone. Like many other places in the US, our weather decided to jump from February straight into mid-July, and the summer heat sucks my knitting mojo right out of me. (My lowest yardage months tend to be June through September, when I focus mainly on knitting socks or maybe a single shawl while I work on other things like cross-stitch, sewing, or spinning.) Given we’re only 5 months into 2018 and I’m already to 80.3% of my 12,000 yard goal for the year, this is perfectly fine. During the month I managed to work on another blanket square, knit one pair of shortie socks plus start another pair, and I knit about 1/3 of a fingering weight Boxy sweater (flat to seam, so I’m purling all the stitches in this project). It was a good month for knits!
I am hoping June will calm down a bit with the weather and throw me at least a few chilly rainy days to inspire me to knit for longer than 20 minutes at a time. But if it doesn’t, I will find another way to occupy my time. It’s fine either way. I will definitely be working on some socks regardless. How about you, kitten? Do you have any hot weather crafting plans? Do you switch up what you’re doing in the summer? (Or are you in the southern hemisphere, and it’s time for your woolen items finally?)
