April 2022: Wrap-Up

February: 742
March: 1,578
April: 25

2022 Totals: 4,473 yds or 2.54 miles

…I almost didn’t bother to count that yardage for this month.

I spent most of my month spinning some lovely sock yarn for my spouse, knit a little and had to rip it, then suddenly felt the need to pick up a hibernating cross stitch project. What can you do? I feel the need to follow where my crafting whims take me right now.

This year, I’ve decided to stick with the same knitting goal I’ve had since this decade started: knit something every month. That’s it. Technically a yes for April.

What about you, kitten? How has your April? Rainy and chilly? Hot? Did you work on anything you’re excited about? Maybe you read something you’d like to recommend.

Take care of yourselves and each other.

XO,
Amanda

Time to start the 2022 stash tracking, Kittens. Hard to believe we’re already 1/3 of the way through this year.

While still a very large amount of stash in, about 20% of my yarn stash in was handspun, so I can not feel too sour about that. I would have definitely been in the gains though, had I not done a huge stash cull to start the year off. It’s always so quick to accumulate and so slow to use up. I really enjoyed all of the spinning I did this trimester, even if it did eat into my knitting time and lowered my yarn usage.

How about you? Are you tracking in 2022, or does the process stress you out? Did some beautiful things enter your stash? Did you use up something precious that makes you happy to wear and look at? Or maybe you’ve spent your time doing something else the past few months?

Take care and stay healthy, kittens.

XO,
Amanda
