It’s that time again— 2022 stash tracking, Kittens. 2/3 of 2022 is already in the past.

It was a little difficult to get an accurate yarn in number this trimester: with my move coming up, most of my purchases were detoured to my mother’s house, and then I was lazy and didn’t record them when I picked them up. I’ve done my best to figure out what I purchased and would have arrived during that time. I had a little stash go back out, but not nearly as much. I really lost my desire to finish projects or make much during that time. In high stress situations, I tend to shut down rather than keep my hands moving. I’ll choose a more quiet pursuit like reading to making. It happens.

In other crafting pursuits, I made and finished a simple embroidery that was a gift one or two birthdays ago to me from a dear friend. It felt so good to finish it so I can finally hang it up and not feel guilty for leaving it sitting in a drawer.

Overall, I’m pretty okay with how the trimester went. It wasn’t as disastrous as I imagined it would be—once I made myself go digging for purchases to try and figure out what all I did buy what felt like a year ago.

How about you? If you’re tracking, how is your year shaping up so far? Did some beautiful things enter your stash? Did you use up something precious that makes you happy to wear and look at? Or maybe you’ve spent your time doing something else the past few months?

Take care and stay healthy, kittens.

XO,
Amanda

Well, kittens. Here it is: September. The theoretical start of the fall here in the US.

I managed to spend some time crafting this month, working on garter strips with older handspun yarns to make a stripey blanket down the road. It’s been remarkably engaging and soothing. I’ve really enjoyed using up so many single bump skeins of yarn and partials from older projects.

This year, I’ve decided to stick with the same knitting goal I’ve had since this decade started: knit something every month. That’s it. Yup, sure did.

What about you, kitten?  Hot? Ready for autumn and cooler weather—or spring if you’re in the southern hemisphere? Did you work on anything you’re excited about? Maybe you read something you’d like to recommend?

Take care of yourselves and each other.

XO,
Amanda
