Today I talk about several works in progress, some spinning, and a little stash enhancement. I had a bit of hard luck this week due to gauge issues and spent some time at the frog pond.

♥ Follow Your Arrow MKAL by Ysolda Teague- 1B & 2B
♥ Partying it UP and Getting DOWN socks by Megan Williams-had to rip and restart these a size larger. Biased stitch socks are gorgeous, but so hard to fit on larger calves. I think I’ll try ribbing the back section of the leg to help combat the snugness. I also tried out Jeny’s Stretchy Slip Knot Cast on–it’s fiddly but works. I am making these as my January entry for Kate’s 2014 personal sock club challenge.
♥ Resurrected an old WIP that was last touched in February 2011. It’s a stripped garter stitch stripey blanket to eat up my leftovers. It was inspired by Craftivore’s blanket.
Spinning A Yarn:
♥ Spun Right Round BFL in “Love Bug” on my microXL Trindle.
Stash Enhancement:
♥ My January Moonrover club arrived and it reminds me of a Doctor Who scarf!! I plan to spin this up into stripey socks.
I’m so Excited!!:
♥ I got into the Hello Yarn Fiber club after stalking the wait list to get an opening and then waiting almost a full year on top of that. ALL THE HAPPY DANCING!
Stitcher’s Corner:
♥ “2014” Woodland Sampler-Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. I am currently trying to resist the Once Upon A Time Sampler. It’s so stinkin’ cute!
I’ve been Dyeing to Tell you:
♥ Played around more in the dye pots this week and came up with some lovely colors that use neutrals with bright rainbow colors. Fantastic!

And then I talked a bit about 2013’s crafting in review as well as resolutions for 2014.
2013:
♥ I knit/crocheted 34 projects including 2 adult sized sweaters for me and 4 Hitchhiker scarves–1 of which was my first handspund project ever.
♥ I learned to spindle spin and started dyeing yarn. (Shop will be coming in March 2014; keep an eye out for it.)
♥ I fell back in love with cross stitch thanks to the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and completed the Springtime Sampler, Summer Sampler, Dessert Sampler, and Halloween Spooky Samplers.
♥ Sewed purses, project bags, did a little quilting…many fabric related things.
2014 Craft Goals:
♥ Knitting- Participate in and complete Kate‘s personal sock club KAL. Knit 2-3 sweaters for myself out of stash yarn. Knit a bed blanket for my daughter and finish in a year.
♥ Spinning- Try to spin twice as much fiber as I acquire to stop stash from growing out of control–based on 3 5oz braids coming in this year, I’m aiming for 24-30oz spun. Purchase an e-spinner to help increase productivity, aid in plying, and help me spin larger quantities. Amanda wants some handspun sweaters!
♥ Cross Stitch- More Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery this year: Woodland Sampler, Winter Kawaii Sampler, and Autumn Sampler are all ready to go.
♥ Quilting/Sewing- Finished quilting the bed quilt upstairs. Work on a couple of quilted wall hangings. Make more bags for myself, to gift, and maybe some to sell. Start learning to alter patterns and work on garment sewing.
