Yardage Totals 2017:
Kittens! I again came so close to knitting a mile’s worth of yarn this month! We are 5/12 of the way through 2017–how did that happen?!–and I am already nearly 7/12 of the way through my yardage goal. I know this can not last forever. As spring turns to summer, my knitting mojo will wane as it becomes uncomfortable to have wool in my lap, and I turn to smaller projects like socks which do not give me as big of a yardage boost for my time, but for now, I am enjoying these high-yardage months. I have not knit this much, this consistently in a very long time. Definitely not in the last several years. It feels good to be getting so much finished and worked on. Modular projects like my new placemats and 10 stitch blanket are definitely helping move things along.
In June, I will transition to some toys and prepare for the hotter days near the end, but for the next week at least, the temperatures are going to stay rainy and cool: perfect for snuggling up on the couch with some tea and a project to keep my hands busy. Here’s to hoping for another productive month!
How about you? Did you work on many projects this month? Anything you’re especially pleased with accomplishing? I would love to hear about it in the comments!
